feathersdk.robot.actuators.telemetry Module

feathersdk.robot.actuators.telemetry.TelemetryKeyType

Type of key for a telemetry channel.

class feathersdk.robot.actuators.telemetry.FeatherTelemetry(robot)

Bases: object

Stores the telemetry data for all actuators in the system.

Telemetries are static after calling initialize() and cannot be changed.

Parameters:

robot (FeatherRobot)

is_initialized()

Check if the telemetry manager is initialized.

Return type:

bool

add_telemetry(name, capacity, dtype)

Add a telemetry channel to the manager.

Parameters:
  • name (str)

  • capacity (int)

  • dtype (DataType)

Return type:

None

initialize()

Initialize the telemetry manager. Should be called after all actuators have been created and their telemetries added to the manager.

Return type:

None

update_telemetry(**kwargs)
Parameters:
  • args (~P)

  • kwargs (~P)

Return type:

R

getitem_default(key, idx, default=<SENTINEL>)

Get telemetry value(s) for the given key.

Allows for fancy indexing and slicing. Returns the default value if given and the index is out of range.

If no default is provided, the error is raised. Any other errors (key not existing, bad input types, etc.) are always raised.

Parameters:
  • key (str) – The name of the telemetry channel.

  • idx (int | integer | slice | ndarray | Sequence[int | integer]) – The index or slice to get.

  • default (U) – The default value to return if idx is out of range. If no default is provided, error is raised.

Return type:

Any | U
